TOGETHER AGAIN AND SURPRISE VISIT FROM PRESIDENT COTTLE, TRUNK OR TREAT, OCTOBER 27, 2014

Hey Everyone!

Well another transfer has come and gone! Sister Wheelwright and I are staying together again which is going to be good.  A week ago Monday my companion decided to have some issues with some teaching skills that are required throughout the mission, I thought that we had come to a pretty good co-operative working situation.  Living in an apartment with 4 girls does have challenges namely "Girl Head Games".  I don't play those games, at the pharmacy when my Dad was irritating me we "Hashed it out" then all was good and life went on!  So  I made her talk things out last week which made her a little huffy but she got over it and things have been going better. Wow this week!  I feel like I am losing my mind because I can hardly remember what has happened during my weeks. Everything just kind of blurs together. Sometimes I am just super EXHAUSTED AND TIRED and mostly feel like a zombie. Speaking of zombie's, each of us in our apartment have taken turns having ebola/zombie dreams. I had a dream where Ebola mutated into some sort of Zombie causing disease. Probably because we have 90 lbs of rice at our apartment and so we were joking with the Elders that in case of the zombie apocalypse they could get permission from President Cottle to come hole up in our apartment and we could live on Rice and canned chicken until it gets all figured out because we have like 20 cans of chicken and tuna. Thus the Ebola/zombie dreams. Tina chastised us for not watching the news and said that we need to use hand sanitizer all the time so we don't get Ebola! Apparently its the new big thing that everyone is talking about.
Ok so trying to remember my week. I also forgot my planner which I usually use as a mini diary to remember what we did during the week. I am a mess. Tuesday was a really good day and we talked to lots of people and had some really good lessons. The part member family we are teaching is doing really well. The Dad says he wants to be baptized, he just has some issues to work out first and he wants to take it slow. They also have a 14 year old son who is coming around! We had some very interesting lessons this week with some interesting people with some very interesting beliefs. We are still mostly in the finding process. Sister Wheelwright is really good at contacting though so I am learning a lot from her in that area! (ya'll know how I love tracting)!   I am helping her read" Jesus the Christ"  because the length and the long words and complicated language Elder Talmage uses intimidate her so that has been fun! We have come up with some fun new phrases like "transcendantly glorious" and something else that I can't recall at this moment. (I do love big, thick, books with wonderful descriptive Words).
Our ward had a trunk or treat this weekend which was really fun! We had a really good turnout with non members and less actives that came! It was pretty great and our trunk was decorated pretty fantastically! We cut open a bunch of glow sticks and sprayed them all over the car and the next day it hadn't all come off so we got super paranoid because it is a brand new car but then it faded so we are very relieved! We tried to take pictures but you couldn't really get a good picture of the glow stuff but its still cool! Everyone loved it! We modeled it after the scripture story in" 2 Kings" when ELISHA the PROPHET dies and they bury him in a "Sepulchre" (our trunk) Then quite a bit of time passes and the Israelites are having a funeral for a man who has died. Suddenly they are descended upon by a marauding band of men. The Israelites get scared and hurry and throw the  dead man into the Sepulchre of Prophet Elisha. When his body touches Elisha's bones he comes back alive and jumps out of the Sepulchre! Now that beats all this fake Zombie stuff and continues to show the POWER OF EVEN A PROPHETS BONES!  All of the ward members looked at us  Sister Missionaries like we were crazy when we told them the story but it was still really fun and fits HALLOWEEN!  I got your package mom and it came just in time for our Saturday trunk or treat so we all wore the "flashing pumpkin necklaces".  Then a bit of sadness the Elderly fellow that all of us missionaries super cleaned his house so he would not get evicted, well he passed away.  I think the house was to clean and the germs were keeping him alive! I loved the emails, Camille looked very concentrated on her ballet.  Thank you for the information on Uncle Burt, he was truly a great man, very quiet and super busy all the time. He will be missed, but he was a trouper there were many times I remember that he was not suppose to survive a lot of things!  I have not heard from Sister Wood, she is probably in flight headed home as I email today, so I don't know exactly when in November her homecoming will be or which church in Vernal.  Oh, well.  I got the IPOD!!  It has all conference on there and the other favorite talks, we all love the Lemonade song from Alex Boye, you did real good!  I also absolutely love the "Gary Bracelet" I can wear it no problem, thank Sister Cox for braiding the hair and you did good Mom getting the ends into those little things so it can clip, I love it!!  Just saying only 23 more P-Days! The days just whiz by and I feel like I am hurrying but there is so much to do and boy am I "Tired", I have never felt so tired!  But its all good it means the work is hastening forward!  I can't believe the Holidays are upon us!  Oh and if anyone is wanting to send me packages (this is not me begging for packages, just an informative thing) please don't send me candy! We get so much candy from the ward members and everyone that I don't need anymore! I also don't need chap stick or hand sanitizer.  I hope everyone has a fun Halloween! Read "2 Kings" it is like a Halloween spiritual thought, especially chapter 13. I will be on lockdown in the apartment doing weekly planning. Yay! Love you all!  Love to Uncle Burts Family!!

Love,
Sister Price

P.S. I forgot to include two weeks ago President Cottle came to our zone and did a surprise visit.  Well us Sisters were doing well and were up and doing what we were suppose to. But the Elders were still in pajamas, lounging about not doing anything-they got Chastised- We have an Elder serving here from South Africa, he has been a  member for 5 years, not sure what his deal is but really disobedient!  Well lets just say our whole little disobedient group of Elders have been split up and transferred all over the mission!  Will be interesting to see who gets transferred in.  Anyway, Love you all lots, thanks for the support!
